Not a salesman. The person who quotes your tree is the person who climbs it.
Chips hauled, lawn raked and blown, no ruts in the yard. Our crews are told the cleanup is the job.
Bucket trucks, a 60-ton crane, and our own chippers and grinders — so big removals come out over your roof, not through it.
Worth knowing
The International Society of Arboriculture certifies arborists the way the state licenses electricians — exams, field experience, and continuing education in tree biology, rigging and safety. It’s the difference between someone who knows how to cut a limb and someone who knows whether it should be cut at all.
A landscaper with a chainsaw is not an arborist. Ours can tell you why your oak is thinning before it becomes a removal.

See us work
Last fall we took down an 80-foot silver maple leaning over a 1920s Chevy Chase bungalow — 14,000 pounds of trunk, lifted out in nine picks, no damage to the slate roof. That’s what the crane, the rigging plans, and thirty years of practice are for.

An 80-foot silver maple was hanging over our 1920s house in Chevy Chase. They rigged it out in sections over two days — not a scratch on the slate roof, and the lawn looked raked when they left. Worth every dollar of the written quote, which never changed.
Stump ground below grade, chips gone, seeded by Saturday. Recommend.
We had three quotes for taking deadwood out of two big oaks in Ashland Park. Stone Fence was the only one where the man who climbed was the man who quoted — and the only one who told us one oak just needed cabling, not removal. Saved us about two thousand dollars by talking us out of work.
Scheduling took longer than I hoped — spring is clearly their busy season — but the pruning itself was textbook. Clean cuts, no stubs, and they hauled every twig. Book early is my only advice.
Response from the ownerGuilty as charged on spring, Priyanka — storm season sets the calendar and we won't rush a climb. Thanks for planning ahead with us. — Dale
Ice storm dropped a limb through our fence line out near Versailles with horses in the field. They answered at 6 a.m., had the line safe by nine, and billed the insurance company directly. That morning made us customers for life.
Asked for their insurance certificate half-expecting excuses — it was in my email before the estimate was. Liability and workers' comp, both current. That's why they were in my yard and the cheaper guy wasn't.
Where we climb
Within about 45 minutes of our Lexington shop — horse country included. If your lane is lined with stone fences, we’ve probably worked it.

In Lexington itself: Chevy Chase, Ashland Park, Hamburg, Beaumont Centre, Gardenside, Kenwick, Masterson Station — the older the neighborhood, the bigger the trees.
Don’t see your town? Call us — we probably cover it.
Storm response
Kentucky ice loads limbs until they let go — onto roofs, fences and lanes. We stabilize first, clear safely, and we bill your insurance company directly.

Fully — general liability and workers' compensation, both current. Ask and we'll email your certificate of insurance before we ever start, naming you as certificate holder. A crew injury on your property should never be your problem, and with us it isn't.
Most run $600–$2,800. Height, access, and what the tree hangs over move the number — a back-fence maple and the same maple over a slate roof are different jobs. Your written quote is free, signed by Dale, and it doesn't change after the fact.
A landscaper with a chainsaw is not an arborist. Ours are certified by the International Society of Arboriculture — which is why we'll tell you when a tree needs cabling instead of removal, or treatment instead of either. The cheapest bid usually costs the most tree.
Chips hauled, wood removed or stacked where you want it, lawn raked and blown, no ruts. Our crews are told the cleanup is the job — the reviews will tell you they mean it.
Ice storm or wind damage, we answer at 2 a.m., make it safe, and bill your insurance company directly — you're not fronting a crane fee with a limb through your fence.
